We just got off the phone with Santa Clause (a.k.a. Papa Terry). Too fun! For the second night in a row we watched an old v.c.r. copy of Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. And afterward we decided to call the North Poll to make sure Santa knew we would be in Tulsa this year for Christmas. Each of the kids took turns telling Santa what they want in varying degrees of verbality. (I think I made that word up.) I didn’t think the kids would ever get to sleep after the call. We are all too excited.
So, will you be opening gifts on Christmas morning? Eve? Every night the week before? Besides the Cowboy game, is there anything particular you will be doing on Christmas? Family traditions? Early morning golf outings to public courses that are left open?

Christmas has begun. We arrived at Jeff's parent's house. The kids have already gotten presents, and they helped decorate the tree. We drank eggnog and I got to take a long hot bath. I have had only showers for ages. We don't have many bath tubs in Mexico. It was a great Christmas beginning. Now I am about to go to bed. The kids are ready for bed, but Abby and Cooper are staying up with grandma. Night Night Out there in Christmas Land, as sugar plums danced through her head :)
Christmas has not begun for us yet... We are getting our tree this weekend. That is a tradition we have. We go out as a family in the truck to a cut your own tree farm up in the foothills. We walk all around together looking for the perfect tree and when we find it we cut it down, put it in the back of the truck and drive it home. That evening we put on Bing Crosby music, drag out the decorations and one by one the kids put ornaments on the tree. I can't wait till this weekend.
To flock or not to flock the tree... That is my question to you? We're no flockers.
What do you do when you flock a tree?
Amy G, so glad you guys made it to Texas. I hope you have a grand time. And I hope it is WAY cold!
J, Flocking? I'd rather you not use that sort of language on my blog. So what is it?
Flocking is when you spray the tree with that white stuff that is supposed to make it look like snow has fallen on the tree. . . I think.
I know you guys will have a lot of fun with your family. It always means a lot more when you haven't seen each other in a while!
Meet the Flockers...
I know you're from the the Big T-town of Tulsa and haven't live as far in the sticks as us other Okies but come on... You don't know what flocking is? (just kidding :-) ) Sarah is right, it is the application of that fake white stuff on the tree to make it look like snow.
We love you guys and It looks like I've got some catching up to do on reading.
J
