Proverbs 19:14

“Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.”

I’m set to inherit some pretty cool Cardinal memorabilia, but beyond that, probably not too much as far as houses or wealth are concerned.

However, in the prudent wife category, color me BLESSED!

How about we all tell our favorite Kim story! Or, you can talk about your wife/spouse/friend if you’d prefer.

And by the way, the picture of Kim is not a recent one (ha). It was taken about a week before the twins were born.

WOW!!! I am sitting here in my hotel room, getting everything ready to write some letters for work before I go off to the jobsite. I put on a pot of crappy hotel Maxwell House coffee made with UNFILTERED water (The Horror!) and started talking to myself as I open up Skype to see if Michelle is online yet. I open up my browser window to see if there is anything new on Rush Files and there before me is something I was not ready for... I thought to myself... "Is Kim pregnant again? TIM'S THE MAN!!" Then I read the post.

I'm with you Tim. In the wife category, I've been blessed by God. Especially when I'm travelling out of town it become even more clear. Michelle and I try to have coffee every morning from 6:00 to 6:30 before I go to the office. That is our time to reconnect, our time to talk. When you have three children the simple act of conversation is sometimes lost. It is a Good thing to have a Godly wife.

Not a "Kim Story" but Kim is involved...our small group on Sunday night is also going to be a surprise party for my mother-in-law. As we were making some calls today, as well as plans, I honestly thought, "I wish Kim could be here." They've only been around each other a few times in the last 10 years or so, but whenever Kim is around, it's a blessing to her. (As well as the rest of us.)From the first time they met in Russia, or on Spring furloughs when you stay with us...you've been a blessing to her. Kim impacts people whenever, wherever she is.

How was the surf? Know that you both bless me.

Is that picture doctored? That is just amazing! When I think of Kim, I think of parachuting. When she was passing through Moscow when I lived there, we all had a chance to skydive. After hours of training, they told us we couldn't go up because of the wind. But Kim begged them to check the wind again because she was going back to America and she would probably never get to skydive there because it's so expensive. They couldn't resist her, I guess, because we all got to go. Fun times.

And, it's great to have a godly husband. In the midst of a full-time job and trying to recruit teammates and raise support, Rob still comes home and helps with the house and diaper changes and feedings without ever complaining. So, I think everyday is my favorite moment with Rob. I never have to worry because I know that he will do what a godly husband needs to do and do it so lovingly.

I love Kim. I love that you chose each other. I love that she's so good to her family. I love that she's so thoughtful and wise. I love that she's such a great parent. I love that she and Emma still talk to me about Ana. I love that she's so talented and so quiet about all of that talent. I'd love to be more like Kim.

Just a quick hey before I go to bed. I wanted to thank everyone who talked about Kim. I didn't really think anyone would, but that really made my day. And hers. Very sweet.

I do want to welcome Denise to the sight. So fun to have you post.

And Dust and Wendy, those were both very fun to read. Thanks much. And dust, thanks for the shout out to back hair. I'm sure I scared a few small children on the beach today.

By the by, I surfed and lived. SO FUN!

I just recently found your blog so I am going back to read what has been going on...and I see this. My jaw is on the floor. I had no idea the human body could do that! I am sitting here looking for evidence of some Photoshoping. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
