Proverbs 6:16-19

“There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him… (#7) a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.”

Despite what others do or say, regardless of how they speak about us or act toward us, be it out of ignorance or spite, let us never stir up dissension among our brothers. When we feel we have every right to spout off a snide remark to a friend we know feels the same as we do, when we know our cutting line will be witty and to the point and even well deserved, may we hold our tongue and keep from separating further those who are already parted. May we offer grace to those who won’t extend it to us.

It is amazing how simple that sounds, and how bad we have been at this. It seems I have heard so many say how they have been deeply wounded by family in Christ. We are devouring our brothers at times. In Acts 18 when Priscilla and Aquila invited him to there home and explained to him the way of God more adequately. At times I feel this scripture is used by some, That believe they have been called to the Gossple Gestapo (Famous words from Mr John Copper)with a sense of jusdification for pulling out every weapon they possess and opening fire on crowds for the sake of preserving the holiness of their elite sacred ....gang. God is working in the lives of people we can not even imagine. How beautiful is the love of God. How kind that he even cares for me. That the best things about most of us is the things that God is creating in us. I pray we are never the ones that wound souls that God is working on. We all need grace.

Hey Flee, I mean anonymous, are you blogging yet? You need a place to show pictures of your model children.

Dust, the sad thing is, if it were me, I'd want to "clarify" things with them upon their return. It is so much harder to trust that God is working and teaching.

And little G. Can we come visit next week? Kim said that I get to learn how to surf! I can't wait! Perhaps I should blog my final will and testament before we go. We'll talk, but at the moment we're thinking about leaving here Wednesday and coming back Saturday. Dust, Flee, you guys want to join us?

Uh, if this isn't the Amy G. I think it is, you can just disregard this comment.

Tim - Can I say to you one more time that I love this blog. You tackle and prove timely relevance in the simplest verses. Thanks for your faithfulness... it has become a small thing that I find myself making time for each day because of how it makes me think...and because I always appreciate being inspired & challenged to allow His word to penetrate every part of my heart.
And man - your kids are adorable. Seriously. :-)

Heather, you are way too kind. But let me say, very encouraging. You are also right on... about the kids I mean. Adorable! It is real self control to have only posted the pictures that I have so far.

Next time you comment, include your blog address so people can see the super models you're raising... not to mention the great stories. You're kids are so funny!
